Before starting allergy shots, my eyes would swell shut during July, August, and September anytime I walked outdoors. That is no longer true.
It takes just a small amount of the antigen to keep me going so having the current 6 – 12 month shelf life of my extracts works well time wise and cost wise. The new plan in the works requires a shorter storage time. In addition, I can’t believe that just two facilities could keep up with the mixing services needed to keep all of us with allergies going.
There is no cure for allergies–only the shots that keep us on an even keel. Why deny patient care and increase the hospital and ER visits that the move to limit patient access to allergy shots?
I have taken shots since 1972 and have never experienced an infection from my allergy shots which are administered by a nurse in a clinic.
I have been getting allergyshots since 2001. They have been a lifesaver for me
