S Reed Shimamoto, MD, FAAP
Dr S. Reed Shimamoto grew up in Montana and Colorado. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, in Denver, CO. He completed his Pediatric Residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ from 1997 to 2000 and served as Chief Resident 2000-2001. Along with Dr. Jain he then completed his Allergy & Immunology fellowship at National Jewish Health Center and University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver from 2001 to 2003, Colorado where he was Chief Fellow and a member of the Medical Staff between 2002-2003. Dr. Shimamoto founded San Tan Allergy & Asthma in 2005, and has been featured in Phoenix Magazine’s “Top Docs” issues. He is currently a member of the American College of Allergy and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, The American Academy of Pediatrics and is Board Certified in Allergy & Immunology and Pediatrics. Dr. Shimamoto has lectured on asthma, allergies, anaphylaxis, food allergy and eosinophilic diseases at local and national programs. He is currently accepting new pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Shimamoto lives in Gilbert with his wife and daughters and enjoys responsible marine fish/reef keeping, gardening, swimming and cooking.
Neal Jain, MD, FAAP, FAAAAI
Dr Neal Jain is an Arizona native. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and subsequently trained in Pediatrics at Phoenix Children’s Hospital where he served as a chief resident during 2001-2002. Both he and Dr. Shimamoto trained in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at National Jewish Health Center and University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Jain was appointed Chief Fellow at National Jewish Health Center and was a member of the Medical Staff between 2003-2004. Prior to joining San Tan Allergy & Asthma in January 2010 , he practiced as an Allergist/Immunologist at Dean Health System in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Jain was also on faculty as a Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in the division of Allergy, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine, where he supervised fellows in training. He has been an active member of the community serving as Medical Director for the Food Allergy Association of Wisconsin, Chair of The Wisconsin Asthma Coalition and on the Board of Directors for the National Eczema Association. Dr. Jain is President of the Arizona Allergy Society, a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology and of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is board certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and Pediatrics. Dr. Jain is currently a regular contributing writer of the “House Call” segment for the magazine Living Without (http://www.livingwithout.com/) and has also been featured on a nationally syndicated television program to discuss new asthma technologies. He has authored or co-authored a number of studies published in peer-reviewed journals and continues to pursue clinical research. Dr. Jain is currently accepting new pediatric and adult patients. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Jain enjoys spending time with his family, playing doubles sand volleyball, and cooking.
Dr. Jennifer Hill, MD
Dr. Jennifer Hill grew up in Mesa, Arizona. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. She then attended medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. While at the University of Arizona, Dr. Hill was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduated with honors. Thereafter, she remained in Tucson to complete her Internal Medicine residency at Banner University Medical Center. During residency she received several awards including “Intern of the Year” and “Outstanding Resident in Allergy, Immunology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.” In addition, she was recognized for her leadership and dedication to research with the “Resident Research Distinction Award” and the “Graduate Medical Education Resident Excellence and Leadership Scholarship.” She served as chief resident and clinical instructor from 2014 – 2015. Like Drs. Shimamoto and Jain, Dr. Hill completed her Allergy & Immunology fellowship at National Jewish Health and University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Hill has published articles in peer reviewed academic journals, has authored a book chapter on aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease, and has co-authored several research studies. In addition, she has presented on various Allergy and Immunology topics at national and local conferences. She continues to have a strong interest in clinical research.
Dr. Hill is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology. She is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; and the American College of Physicians. She is currently accepting new pediatric and adult patients. In her spare time, Dr. Hill enjoys bike rides and hiking with her family, cooking, reading, dining out and traveling.
Dr. Kiranjit Khalsa, MD, MPH
Dr. Kiranjit Khalsa grew up in Long Island, New York. She attended college at Stony Brook University and was accepted into a scholarship program for Women in Science and Engineering. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Prior to medical school, she obtained her Master in Public Health, focusing on Community Health Science, at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She then attended medical school at St. George’s University where she was Vice President of the Clinical Research Society. Thereafter, Dr. Khalsa returned to Stony Brook University to complete her Internal Medicine residency. She then went to Albany Medical College for her Allergy & Immunology Fellowship. Dr. Khalsa has been published as first author in peer reviewed academic journals and has co-authored several research studies. In addition, she has presented at both national and local Allergy and Immunology conferences, focusing on topics such as Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria, Eosinophilia and Food-Protein Induced Enterocolitis. She continues to pursue her passion in research.
Dr. Khalsa is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology. She is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She is currently accepting new pediatric and adult patients. In her spare time, Dr. Khalsa enjoys spending time with her family, hiking with her dog and traveling.
Dr. Priscilla Wong, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI
Dr. Priscilla Wong grew up in northern California and completed her undergraduate degree at Stanford University where she majored in Human Biology. She graduated medical school at the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine, the nation’s federal medical school, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then completed a combined adult and pediatric allergy immunology fellowship at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Wong is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Wong was recently practicing at Stanford University where she was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine. At Stanford, Dr. Wong was active in program development and teaching residents and fellows-in-training. She also has global experience as a pediatrician and allergy immunology physician in the US Air Force, including at Luke Air Force Base where she hosted medical students in her allergy clinic and directed the operation of several clinics.
Dr. Wong is active in allergy research and has published over a dozen articles in peer reviewed scientific journals. She enjoys giving lectures and research presentations at national conferences. Dr. Wong has received numerous awards, including the Esprit de Corp award for her humanistic qualities upon graduation from medical school, the outstanding graduating resident award, two Air Force Commendation Medals, and several research awards at the national level. Dr. Wong is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Wong is married to a native Arizonan, and her young family is keeping her active outside of the clinic. She is accepting new adult and pediatric patients and is excited to be back in Arizona caring for patients with allergic diseases!
Carly Hopkins was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. She graduated Cum Laude from Arizona State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2009. Prior to attending PA school she worked in inpatient and outpatient radiology settings. She also spent a month in Tanzania, Africa on a medical mission to serve pediatric patients in that region. She then attended PA school at AT Still University and graduated with distinction in 2013. During PA school she was involved in several community outreach and volunteer events providing medical care to those who didn’t otherwise have access to it. After graduating PA school she spent 4 years practicing Internal Medicine in Chandler AZ. In 2017 she decided to expand her career in the field of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and joined our team at San Tan Allergy and Asthma. Carly is a nationally board certified physician assistant, a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants. She currently also has memberships with the Arizona Allergy and Asthma Society and the American Academy of Physician Assistants in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.Carly is married and has a 2 year old son. She enjoys spending time with family, camping, playing volleyball and traveling.
